Tsutaja/Smugleaf tells it like it is.

June 22, 2010

I hear quite a few people whine about the new Pokemon games Black and White, and hell, I’m one of those whiners. But y’know what? No matter how much I say I hate how the new pokemon look and swear that I’ll never buy the game, I’m going to end up buying the game and learn to love Mijumaru/Wotter. I’m sure other blokes will be the same way.

Though, Excalibur– er, Tsutaja/Smugleaf said it better.

Problem, Trainers?

Azumanga Daioh – The Best of Miss Yukari

April 19, 2010

Oh god, HUGE nostalgia binge. This was the very first anime I watched with english subtitles (even though the clips below are the english dub, but who cares?). 4chan (back when it wasn’t cancer) introduced me to Azumanga way back, and the release of Youtube made me look up clips of the anime (I never watched the full episodes since I could’nt find them). Funniest anime I’ve ever watched, hands down.

It’s fairly obscure nowadays, but some recent anime fans do say that Azumanga’s better than Haruhi or Lucky Star. Well, I can’t really say if it’s better than Haruhi or not, but I do agree on it being better than Lucky Star.

Rants aside, enjoy some clips of my favorite character in the show next to Tomo, Miss Yukari.

Also, if you happen across any Azumanga Daioh manga books/scanlations, I’d reccommend giving them a look.

Mao really hates heros.

April 19, 2010

Yet he also wants to become one. Talk about a double standard.

Okay, really. Mao wants to become a hero to get revenge on his dad (who just so happens to be an Overlord) who accidentally broke his beloved Slaystation Portable. *cough*

I’m actually being serious here. Don’t worry; lunacy is normal in the Disgaea universe.

Now have an obligatory video.

Yes, that is Edward Elric and Ichigo Kurosaki you are hearing there.

Touhou M-1 – YakumoChen Phone Q&A

April 19, 2010

Because this site needs more Touhou than it already has.

Nonetheless, here’s a subtitled Touhou M-1 manzai skit starring the loveable nekomata Chen, and the infamous suppatenko Ran Yakumo. In this skit, the two are running a “Touhou Q&A About Everything” phone service, where people from all over the world (reality… maybe a select few locations in Japan or something?) to answer questions about the magical land of Gensokyo.

Apparently, Lily White appears at Comiket to hand out leaflets. …. Wait, my mistake. It’s HEALING Lily White.

Disgaea Infinite!

April 13, 2010

Okay, so apparently the game’s not coming out until June, but that doesn’t mean there isn’t any new stuff going on about it since it was announced for an English release! So for those who wish to see some gameplay of it (er, cutscene, actually), here you go.

Laharl (nearly) gets assassinated, so we can see why he’s pissed. Heck, can’t even list the amount of things he can get pissed at.

But why blame the prinnies, dood?!

Also, kudos to me for the first Disgaea-related post on The Overlord’s Castle. After nearly a frigging year.

The worst car chase scene ever in an anime.

April 11, 2010

And the award goes to…. Shinkyoku Soukai Polyphonica! For those who are blissfully unaware at how hilariously QUALITY the scene is, here it is for your enjoyment (if you’re a masochist).

It’s even better if you have the annotations on.

Also, on a completely unrelated note, Disgaea Infinite is apparently out right now. For those who like Disgaea, visual novels, prinnies, or any combination of the three, pick it up if you have a PSP.

Also, Raspberyl and Mao from Disgaea 3 make appearances in it.

[EDIT]: Apparently the game’s not coming out until June, so please disregard all former statements about me thinking the game was released in the US right now. I sure feel silly.

What’s this? A post?

February 13, 2010

I swear, this blog’s more dead than my main one. Ah well. Time for a resuscitation. Have this beautiful mix of Dear You from Higurashi no Naku Koro ni and Because Princess Inada is Scolding Me from the tenth Touhou game.

Because Princess Inada is Scolding You? Yeah, my humor’s not too original.

Also, anyone else find it odd that despite the blog’s banner, I haven’t posted anything Disgaea-related yet? Well, I’ve heard rumors (possibly confirmed) that NIS is planning to release the Disgaea light novels in English. Do want.

Happy Birthday, Miku Hatsune.

August 30, 2009

Yup. It’s the ever-so-lovable Vocaloid’s birthday today. Hatsune Miku, the one who brought us classic catchy remixes like Levan Polkka, as well as new originals like the awesomely creepy Hold, Release; Rakshasa and Carcasses and the moreso-catchy Popipo, is turning 18 today. Yup, she’s legal now, you rabid fanboys. Not sure if she’d want any of you, though.

In celebration of her birthday today, here’s one of my favorite songs with the adorable Vocaloid. Sure, it also has Teto Kasane and Neru Akita in it, too, but hey, it still has Miku.

Flash Player 6 is evil.

August 14, 2009

I’m pretty sure everyone’s updated to whatever the newest version of Macromedia Flash Player (whether it be 10 or 9), but why doesn’t anyone go back to the good old glory days of Flash Player 6?

Simple. Because Flash Player 6 is evil. I mean, there’s a 6 in the title! WOAHMAHGAWD.

The following evidence shows differences when playing the Chirumiru flash video under different Flash versions.

As you can see, Flash Player 6 promotes the following: Faceless figures, no Wriggles, invisible Japanese letters, and the exception of ⑨!

Also, Flash Player 6 is coded to do this with any flash video relating to Cirno. As we all know, 6 is a flipped 9. Thus, ⑨.

Also, I sure can’t wait until September 9. Herpderp.

Because Parappa is awesome.

July 24, 2009

Okay, to be honest, I’ve never played Parappa the Rapper on the PSX/PS1 (mainly because I never owned one), but I always thought the songs were awesome. Heck, it is an awesome game. And I also think Parappa’s the only GOOD rapper in the universe. Not kidding.

So here’s basically one of the most popular songs in the game in my book, the obligatory Car Rap.
